Oil spill response device, Spabunker IV, summer of 2003
The 21st of January of 2003 sank the Spabunker IV barge in the bay of Algeciras, loaded with 1,300 tons of fuel, coming from the CEPSA “Gibraltar” refinery in Gibraltar. MARKLEEN was responsible of the response after the oil spill caused by a broken fuel tank during the refloating operations in March of 2003.
