Once the oil is contained it must be recovered from the sea surface.

The skimmers are designed and built for emergency response and continuous industrial applications. Most skimmers utilise proven oleophilic principles (brush, disc and drum skimmers) which minimise the water content in the recovered product, other models maximise recovery capacity (weir skimmers).
